We need to be conscious of germs on doorknobs and light switches for two main reasons: firstly, due to the amount they get used every day. And secondly, because four out of five illness-causing germs are spread by hands![1]

Both of these facts mean doorknobs and light switches have a high concentration of germs that could start spreading, particularly if you have family members or guests that are sick. With our guide, find out how to disinfect the commonly touch surfaces such as door knobs, light switches, shelves and other living room surfaces

How to sanitize and disinfect your floors

One of the best ways to decrease the number of germs that are brought into your home is to take your shoes off. Microbiologist Charles Gerba conducted a study that suggests there is a common occurrence (96%) of coliform and E.coli on our shoes.[1] This suggests there is a high chance that fecal matter is being trodden through our home, which can be extremely dangerous – particularly if we have a baby that is still at the crawling stage!

When it comes to cleaning your living room floor, you should spend extra time to vacuum under surfaces and behind the sofa as these areas can collect a lot of dust over time. Our Lysol's Multi-Action Cleaners will allow you to sanitize and disinfect it, too.

Here are ways to use our Lysol Multi-Action cleaners:

General Cleaning:

Step 1: Dilute 3 capfuls (60ml) : 1 Liter water.

Step 2: Apply to surface with mop until thoroughly wet.

Step 3: Wipe with a clean mop immediately

Step 1: Apply undiluted on surface /dilute 3 capfuls (60ml) : 500ml on surface with mop until thoroughly wet.
